One mom turned a simple school sports day into an unforgettable moment when she tripped and faceplanted during the parents’ race, accidentally flashing the entire crowd.

Katie Hannaford, 36, ended up a little more than just embarrassed after her tumble left her flashing teachers, parents, and students all at once.

Her eight-year-old daughter had begged her to join the race, and while Katie agreed to make her happy, her daughter might be rethinking that choice now.

In the hilarious footage, Katie, from Basildon in Essex, is seen standing in the third lane from the left, smiling as the crowd cheers them on.

Everything seems to go fine at first, but just seconds after the race begins, Katie loses her balance and goes flying headfirst into the grass, her legs flipping into the air.

To make things even worse, her light blue dress flips right over her head, giving the crowd a full view of her underwear.

In the background, a bunch of kids quickly turn away, clearly realizing what just happened.

Luckily, Katie, who owns a home goods business, was able to laugh it off. Although she was pretty mortified at first, she now says the whole thing is just hilarious.

“I’m not sporty at all, but [my daughter] kept begging me,” she said. “In the end I agreed to the race – I knew I’d come last.”

Katie added: “I just tripped over my own feet – I think my body was just moving too fast for my legs! I’m so clumsy, I’m always falling over.”

“I was humiliated at the time, but it is what it is! I flashed my underwear which is obviously embarrassing but you just have to own it.”

“Looking back, it’s hilarious – definitely the funniest thing I’ve ever done in my life!”

She found it so funny that she decided to share the clip on her Facebook page, joking: “When the kids got more at sports day than they were expecting! Haha.”

“If you can’t laugh at yourself then what’s life about ay! Sorry kiddo’s and anyone else watching!”

It didn’t take long for the video to blow up online, with hundreds of people jumping in to comment on the hilarious moment.

“I think this is a ‘crack’ing good effort posting this and a great view for the kids,” one person joked, while another said, “Omg Katie more I watch it more I laugh.”

Someone else added: “I’m laughing more this morning than I was last night.”

You can always count on the internet for some good old-fashioned laughs!
