“Standard procedure,” the nurse explained to nervous Bob. “Just change into this gown for your checkup.”
Bob fidgeted. “You won’t… react?”
The nurse crossed her heart. “Thirty years in this hospital. Never once laughed at a patient.”
Taking a deep breath, Bob removed his pants, revealing equipment so miniature it could have been a doll’s. The nurse’s eyes widened, her lips trembled, and before she could stop herself, she was doubled over in hysterics.
When she finally caught her breath, she was mortified. “I’ve never done that before in my entire career. Please forgive me. What’s your medical concern?”
Bob sighed. “It’s swollen to twice its normal size.”
