Tatiana Santiago never saw herself as particularly slim, but her weight stayed within a healthy range—until tragedy struck in 2020.

After the devastating loss of her child, she turned to food for comfort, and by the end of the year, her weight had surpassed 200 kilograms. Caught in a cycle of emotional eating and exhaustion, Tatiana felt trapped.

It wasn’t until she caught her reflection and didn’t recognize herself that she realized how far she had drifted. That moment sparked a turning point.

She began her transformation with daily walks and then added swimming to her routine. As her fitness improved, she started to enjoy being active. At the same time, she cut out processed foods and carbs, making healthier eating a priority.

Her efforts paid off—by early 2023, she had lost nearly 100 kilograms. But just as things were improving, doctors diagnosed her with fatty liver disease. Determined not to give up, she opted for gastric bypass surgery to help protect her health.

Tatiana maintained her new lifestyle, working out six times a week. When she finally returned home, her transformation was so dramatic her family hardly recognized her.

Now weighing 75 kilograms, Tatiana embraces her reflection and celebrates self-love.
