When a baby weighs between four and five kilograms at birth, it is considered a large fetus.

However, size isn’t the only factor; large babies can also reach a height of up to 56 cm at birth. Statistics show that around 5 to 10% of pregnancies result in babies of this size.

In 1983, when Patricia Clarke was 24, she had a strong feeling her baby would be large.

Coming from a family with big babies and already having one child, she expected her next baby to follow suit. But nothing could have prepared her for the size of her newborn.

Kevin Robert Clark, born to Patricia, tipped the scales at over 15 pounds, making him an extraordinary newborn. At the time, he was possibly the largest baby ever born at Community Memorial Hospital, and likely the biggest in New Jersey.

Though he didn’t fit into a standard crib and outgrew his baby clothes quickly, his parents were relieved to find him perfectly healthy.

Kevin’s remarkable size earned him national attention, with appearances on shows like “Saturday Night Live” and “Good Morning America.” But his growth didn’t stop there.

By age 12, he stood at 6’1”, and by the time he reached college, he was already that height. “Not a day goes by that someone doesn’t ask me how tall I am,” Kevin told the New York Post.
