Kaia Gerber, the rising star from a famous Hollywood family, is following in her mother’s footsteps, building a successful career not just on the runway but also in Hollywood. Kaia made her modeling debut at just 10 years old with a Versace children’s collection and appeared in her first film, Cities of the World, at 15. This year, it was announced that the 23-year-old model and actress will play a leading role in the upcoming 10th season of American Horror Story and its spin-off, American Horror Stories.
The 59-year-old supermodel Cindy Crawford joined her daughter in a joint project with ZaraStreaming, where they shared style tips and tried on new outfits. As they modeled stylish looks for each other, both Cindy and Kaia acknowledged the influence they have on one another’s fashion choices, though they admitted they have different approaches to style. “I think my mom has had a huge influence on me, consciously or subconsciously, but we’re very different. We share many classic elements, but the way we mix them is different,” Kaia said.
Cindy reflected on how, unlike Kaia, her childhood was far from glamorous or full of brand-name items. “I grew up in Illinois, and my mom didn’t care about fashion, but then Kaia grew up, and she and her friends were always digging through my closet!” Cindy recalled.
Kaia, daughter of the world-famous supermodel and businessman Rande Gerber, admitted that she still borrows clothes from her mom’s wardrobe. “Now I mostly steal her stuff. I don’t think I have anything she needs!” Kaia exclaimed, causing Cindy to react in surprise.
Cindy then suggested Kaia try on a look – a fitted black bodysuit paired with elegant flowing pants. Kaia admitted that it’s not easy posing in front of her mother’s discerning eye. “Walking the runway in front of you is like playing guitar in front of Jimi Hendrix!” she joked, playfully responding to her mom.
In the second season of the project, the two models presented carefully selected pieces that align with their personal style – or as they call it, their “dream wardrobe.” They created numerous outfits with tuxedo jackets and ’70s-style sunglasses.
Kaia, known for her high-profile love life, has previously been linked to comedian Pete Davidson and actor Jacob Elordi from Euphoria. In December 2021, she was seen with actor Austin Butler, though they broke up in October last year. Since then, Kaia has been spotted with Charlie Walker and Alex Edelman. Recently, she has begun a romance with 32-year-old actor Lewis Pullman, son of actor Bill Pullman.
“Kaia and Lewis have actually been together for a while. They started dating in early December,” an insider revealed. The couple has been seen out on dates but tries to keep a low profile. Kaia is reportedly happy with how low-key this relationship is compared to her previous ones. “They move in the same circles and are friends with the same people, and that’s how they met. Kaia likes that there’s no pressure in this relationship and that Lewis is a very down-to-earth guy,” the source added.
