On Saturday, May 3, about 30 influencers dressed in bikinis boarded a 63-foot Tecnomar for Lamborghini yacht to cruise around Miami Beach, Florida. What was supposed to be a glamorous outing quickly spiraled into an emergency.
As the group enjoyed their time near the water, the vessel started taking on water just off Monument Island. This area is not far from Star Island, a neighborhood known for housing big-name celebrities like Rick Ross, Don Johnson, and Jennifer Lopez.
The USCG Southeast later shared an update on Twitter, writing: “A @USCG Sta #MiamiBeach crew & partner agencies responded to a 63-ft vessel taking on water near Monument Island rescuing 32 people w/no injuries reported around 5 p.m., Sat. Commercial salvage is working to recover the vessel & isn’t a hazard to navigation.”
The fish and wildlife agency has taken the lead on investigating exactly what went wrong aboard the yacht.

According to Fox News, the Tecnomar for Lamborghini yacht is meant to carry up to 16 passengers safely.
Meanwhile, Mail Online suggests that the luxury yacht is actually designed to accommodate just five guests, plus two crew members, which would make the total onboard that day far beyond the recommended limit.

One video showed a woman clutching a pricey bottle of tequila she managed to save, proudly announcing that her “baby is safe”—referring to the liquor bottle.
Other clips posted online featured several women wearing bright life vests as they floated away from the sinking boat.

The vessel is believed to be one of a limited series co-designed by luxury automaker Lamborghini and The Italian Sea Group, according to the New York Post.
One high-profile owner of this rare yacht model is MMA fighter Conor McGregor, who reportedly bought one back in 2021 for a hefty price tag in the millions.
