Plastic surgery has long sparked both admiration and debate, encompassing procedures that range from reconstructive treatments following injury to enhancements aimed at boosting self-confidence.
In recent years, Turkey has emerged as a global hub for cosmetic procedures, thanks to its combination of affordability and highly skilled surgeons.
The clip, shared by a cosmetic surgeon operating under the username “Dr May” — who appears to be based in Turkey — features a woman named Miss Dilek and her stunning two-year makeover journey.

According to the video, the 68-year-old underwent multiple procedures, including a facelift, rhinoplasty, and blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery). The “before” image displays common signs of aging, while the “after” photo reveals such a youthful appearance that viewers questioned whether the two photos were of the same person.
“Our lovely patient Miss Dilek after two years of rhinoplasty, facelift and blepharoplasty surgeries. I await your comments,” Dr May captioned the video.
And the comments came in droves. “That’s the mum and daughter — no way that’s her,” one viewer commented. Another said, “The nose changed completely. They’re different people.” The extreme transformation led many to question the authenticity of the images.
Despite having deleted their Instagram account, Dr May has cultivated a following of around 32,000 TikTok users. The video featuring Miss Dilek has garnered over 100,000 views — though it’s not the most viewed post on the account. Another video featuring a rhinoplasty performed on a U.S. patient has nearly five million views.
Turkey’s reputation as a destination for medical tourism, especially cosmetic surgery, continues to grow. Known for its affordability compared to Western countries and its geographic accessibility from both Europe and Asia, Turkey attracts more than 100,000 visitors annually seeking procedures like breast augmentation, chin implants, tummy tucks, eyelid surgeries, and nose jobs.
According to Clinic Spots, and data from the Turkish Ministry of Tourism, most patients travel from countries such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, the UAE, Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, and France.
