The father of the late Virginia Giuffre doesn’t believe that the 41-year-old died by suicide.

On Friday (local time), Giuffre’s father Sky Roberts appeared as a guest on Piers Morgan‘s YouTube talk show Piers Morgan Uncensored. During the interview, the grief-stricken father shared that he’s struggling to come to terms with his daughter’s death and doesn’t believe that she took her own life.

“I mean, I started crying right away. I’m still crying. I can’t believe that this is happening. It just, it’s impossible,” Sky told the host and the four-guest panel.

“And then for them to say that she committed suicide, there’s no way that she did. Somebody got to her.”

In his first on-camera interview since Giuffre’s death, Roberts stood by his daughter’s claims against Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell and Prince Andrew.

“I believed everything that she said. You know, I mean, she was my daughter,” he said, noting that he had seen an original version of the infamous photo of a teenage Virginia with Prince Andrew with Maxwell in the background.

“Virginia sent the original picture, so I know it wasn’t faked, but the original picture of Prince Andrew and her with Ghislaine Maxwell in the background, so I know that’s true that she did. She was there with him.”

According to Roberts, Giuffre had “so much to live for”, describing her kids and loved ones as “her foundation”.

When asked what his relationship was like with Giuffre, Roberts revealed that he “hadn’t spoken to her in years”.

“I think that she basically was trying to protect me because she knew a lot of things about a lot of powerful people, and to me, she’s just protecting me so I don’t get involved in any of it,” Roberts claimed.

Giuffre passed away on April 25. The following day, her heartbroken family confirmed her death in a statement.

“It is with utterly broken hearts that we announce that Virginia passed away at her farm in Western Australia,” the statement read.

“She lost her life to suicide after being a lifelong victim of sexual abuse and sex trafficking.

“In the end, the toll of abuse is so heavy that it became unbearable for Virginia to handle its weight.”

Giuffre is known for waiving her anonymity to publicly accuse billionaire Jeffrey Epstein and his partner Ghislaine Maxwell of a series of sex crimes, including sex trafficking, in 2019. Epstein was arrested that year and died by suicide in his cell before the trial could begin.

Maxwell is currently facing 20 years in prison for her involvement in the sex trafficking scheme.

Giuffre alleged that she was sex trafficked by Epstein to Prince Andrew when she was only 17 years old. Prince Andrew has vehemently denied this claim.

In 2021, Giuffre filed a lawsuit against the Duke of York. This was settled out of court in February 2022.
