A dramatic video captured the incredible moment when 36-year-old Kwon Young Jun leaped 600 feet to save his wife and child as a devastating earthquake tore through their apartment building in Bangkok, Thailand, on March 28. The fearless father made the daring jump after the walkway between his building and a nearby high-rise collapsed during the 7.7-magnitude quake.

Bystanders below filmed the jaw-dropping leap, while Kwon, originally from Seoul, South Korea, was later seen outside with his family, unharmed except for a few minor scrapes. He explained, “I realized it was an earthquake and the building was breaking apart, but I saw the gap and just jumped.” His wife, Sukanya Yutuam, who was on the 30th floor at the time, expressed her shock after seeing the footage, noting how quickly the situation escalated and how her husband acted on instinct.

Kwon, who had been working out on the 52nd floor when the quake hit, rushed to find his family. After realizing they had already evacuated, he descended over 40 floors to reunite with them outdoors. Despite the life-threatening nature of his actions, Kwon was largely unscathed, with only minor injuries.

Yutuam, who is also a beauty influencer, praised her husband’s selflessness, saying, “He always thinks about his family first,” even when it means taking risks like jumping to another building in a crisis.

Following the earthquake, the developer of the Park Origin complex confirmed the building’s structure remained intact after inspections. However, the quake caused widespread devastation, including the collapse of partially constructed high-rise buildings, burying dozens of people. With the death toll rising, many in the region continue to face the aftermath, and the full scale of the disaster is still unfolding.
