Saray Carrillo, who was competing on the Spanish edition of the show, faced a task that tested the contestants’ ability to cook “farm to table.”

But this wasn’t your typical cooking challenge—it started much earlier in the process than most of us are used to.
Most of us are far removed from the reality of the animals our food comes from.
So, it’s no surprise that the contestants were in for a bit of a shock when they were handed a partridge, a game bird, to prepare for the judges.
There was, however, a twist to the ingredients they received.
Yes, completely whole—feathers, guts, head, and all.
Their task was to pluck, gut, and cook the birds in whatever style they chose.
But before they could even think about how to cook the bird, they first had to deal with the whole, unprocessed partridge in front of them.
Unfortunately, for Saray, this particular challenge was her worst nightmare.
Instead of tackling the challenge, Saray decided to take a completely different approach.
She refused to prepare the bird and instead presented it to the judges with its feathers still intact.

The bird was simply placed on a bed of spring onions and tomatoes, without any effort to pluck or gut it.
The moment quickly went viral on social media, with the clip garnering around 1.8 million views. People were stunned by her decision.
As you might expect, the judges were not impressed by Saray’s “stunt.”
But Saray didn’t seem too bothered by the outcome.
As she left the show, she simply said, “Bye bye,” unfazed by the judges’ decision.
To be fair, not everyone is cut out for plucking birds and dealing with guts!
