Sure, a foot-long sub is a great choice for a quick work lunch, but imagine eating it every single day for four weeks straight. That has to get repetitive, right?
And let’s not forget the impact a sandwich-heavy diet could have on your health over time.
Frian occasionally treated himself to a cookie or a bag of chips, but since his main goal was to lose weight, he kept those indulgences to a minimum.
His approach to the challenge was simple drop a stone in weight. To achieve that, he limited himself to just one meal a day, which was always from Subway.
By sticking to this meal plan, Frian was consuming about 670 calories per day. That’s just a quarter of the recommended 2,500 daily calories for an average man.

At the end of the challenge, he stepped on the scale and weighed in at 12st 11lbs.
A key factor in his weight loss journey was the type of bread he chose, as he explained in his video: “The 9 grain wheat and the flatbread are made from whole grains, they have complex carbohydrates in them.”
“I’m still going to have Subway on a regular basis after this, I’m just going to take a little bit of a break,” he said.
Honestly, maybe taking a short break is the smart move.
