When it comes to political matters, many people have an opinion and they aren’t afraid to stand by it, come what may. This includes some who may regret things that they have said or done in the past.
Pope Leo XIV’s eldest brother, Louis Prevost, was outspoken about his feelings on political matters for quite some time. When his brother was a cardinal, he would often share in his political stance online, and now it is coming back to haunt him.
At one point, Louis shared a video on his social media account, calling Nancy Pelosi a ‘C****’. He also scolded ‘f*****g liberals’ for being upset about the tariffs Trump put in place. Obviously, he had some strong opinions and wasn’t afraid of discussing them openly.
Even the old social media account from Pope Leo resurfaced and showed his opinion on Donald Trump and his administration. It seems as if he was critical of Trump, although he did keep things a little more clean than his older brother.
The two may have differing political opinions when it comes to Donald Trump, and that is easy to see after you view some of the old posts from Louis. Many of them shared MAGA memes and showed unwavering support for the administration.
Louis Prevost had shared a video in April of Nancy Pelosi from the 1990s. She was supporting putting tariffs on China, according to some reports.
A conspiracy theory about the husband of Nancy Pelosi, Paul Pelosi, was also mentioned in the post. The theory said that she was involved with a man who broke into their home and attacked the couple with a hammer.
Prevost’s post was re-shared on Facebook by a user, who wrote: “These f*****g liberals crying about tariffs is just unreal. Do they not know that there is a thing called video? Just listen to what this drunk c*** has to say in the mid 90’s long before her husband had Grindr dates.”
Older posts by Prevos that resurfaced included a meme, which showed a mental institution and was captioned: “Where the woke lived before the ’70s”. There was also a post with the caption: “Please pray for the 33% who approve of Biden, that they be healed of their mental affliction.”
The Pope’s older brother spoke with the New York Times and said that his brother becoming pope was shocking. He then joked: “Jeez, it was like just yesterday, I was throwing him down the stairs. And now he’s pope!”
He also said that he may disagree with his brother at times and that he isn’t a pacifist like his brother. He feels that Pope Leo XIV will end up being a ‘little more conservative’ than Pope Francis.
