Fans of actress Sydney Sweeney are buzzing and not all in a good way — after she launched a product many are calling downright strange and even a little gross.

If you thought Gwyneth Paltrow’s candle labeled “This Smells Like My Vagina” was out there, then Sydney’s latest idea might just top that.

The 27-year-old star, known for her roles in hit shows, has introduced a new soap she says is made using water from her own bath.

The product, called Sweeney’s Bathwater Bliss, was created in partnership with Dr. Squatch. They’ve made a total of 5,000 bars. And for anyone doubting whether her actual bathwater was used, each bar comes with a certificate of authenticity to prove just that.

While revealing the launch of the quirky, limited-edition soap which is being marketed as a natural men’s body bar, Sweeney said: “When fans start asking for your bathwater, either ignore it or turn it into a soap.”

“It’s weird in the best way.”

Sydney, who hails from Washington, was announced as the face of Dr. Squatch back in October of last year. She became the brand’s ambassador soon after.

In one of the brand’s more eye-catching ads, she’s seen lounging in a steamy bathtub. While promoting their body wash, she says: “Hello you dirty little boys, are you interested in my body… wash?”

“Well you can’t have it, because this isn’t for boys. It’s for men. This is Dr. Squatch Natural Body Wash with long lasting, natural aromas like wood barrel bourbon, pine tar, coconut castaway, and fresh falls.”

That cheeky ad ended up being such a big hit that it sparked this next move — a new collaboration between Sweeney and the brand. Sharing another update on Instagram, the actress posted: “You kept asking about my bathwater after the @drsquatch ad… so we kept it.”

“Introducing Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss! A very real, very limited-edition soap made with my actual bathwater.”

The product will officially go on sale starting June 6. Each bar claims to offer a calming, outdoorsy scent with hints of pine, Douglas fir, earthy moss, and a splash of Sydney’s Bathwater Bliss. But keep in mind — it’s a limited run, with only 5,000 bars being made.

Even though the soap is clearly getting lots of attention, not everyone is a fan. Plenty of people have taken to social media, calling the idea both “creepy” and “disgusting.”

“I love you Sydney but what the f*** is this.” said one user who was clearly shocked by the whole thing.

Others took issue with the way the product is being advertised to men, suggesting it sends a troubling message and even undermines women’s progress.

“We’re never making it out of the patriarchy.” one person commented, while someone else echoed that thought by adding: “This is what happens when you are admired by mostly men. They reduce you to a mere object of desire.”

Another critic described the campaign as being lowbrow and attention-seeking.

Still, not all the reactions were negative. Some folks actually saw the humor in it and took the release in stride.

“Whatever makes men take showers.” read one surprisingly supportive response.

One more fan weighed in with this take: “This is so disgusting but I just know the men gonna sell it out so go off sis!”

The timing of this unusual product launch comes just as Sweeney gears up to return for season three of the hit teen drama Euphoria.

In the show, she rose to fame for her role as Cassie, and there’s a rumor that this might be the final season.
