Broken Arrow Tragedy: A Family’s Final Chapter Ends in Heartbreak
In a chilling turn of events, a Broken Arrow home has once again become the site of a devastating tragedy. On May 28, police found three bodies in the Shippy family home—marking the third time in three years that violence has struck this family.
Rodney Shippy, 58, was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Nearby were the bodies of his 10-year-old autistic son, Logan, and a woman believed to be his missing daughter, Alyssa, 20. A family dog was also found deceased. While the woman’s identity is still pending, relatives believe it is Alyssa, who disappeared in late 2024.
The tragedy follows a haunting pattern. In 2022, Lisa Shippy—Rodney’s wife—died by suicide. Months later, Lisa’s stepfather murdered her mother before taking his own life. These repeated losses fractured the once-close family, isolating them from their community.
A recent video posted by Logan hinted at the home’s deteriorating state—no water, piles of trash, and a silence that masked deeper turmoil.
A GoFundMe has been launched to support funeral costs for Alyssa and Logan. May they rest in peace—and may their story serve as a reminder of the quiet pain so many carry unseen.
