The town of Griffin, Georgia, is reeling from heartbreak after 15-year-old Aleia Kuhn passed away in a tragic accident during a youth event at Philippi Baptist Church. Just days away from her 16th birthday, Aleia’s unexpected death has deeply shaken her family, friends, and school community at Skipstone Academy.

Her mother, Amanda Schroeder-Kuhn, shared her grief online, calling Aleia her “backbone and heart” and praising her daughter’s unshakable faith in Jesus. Aleia’s father, Christopher Kuhn, echoed the same heartbreak, writing, “I hear you saying ‘I love you daddy’… I will for the rest of my life.” Both parents described Aleia as joyful, kind, and deeply devoted to her faith.

Aleia was a beloved student, friend, and sister whose kindness touched many. Whether she was sharing her love for Chick-fil-A and TikTok or caring for her younger siblings, those close to her say her smile and spirit lit up every room. Her obituary describes her as having left a “life immeasurable in impact.”

Though her time on Earth was short, Aleia’s memory continues to inspire. Her family, supported by heartfelt messages from across the community, remains grounded in their belief they will see her again one day. As her loved ones prepare for her funeral, Aleia’s legacy of faith, love, and light lives on.
