If you fancy pulling an all-nighter, a new ’10/10′ crime series could be worth a try.
Netflix has a track record for releasing binge-worthy shows, from the acclaimed thriller, Dept. Q, to the true crime offering, Cold Case: The Tylenol Murders – and its latest series is no different.
Viewers have described the U.S. show, which premiered on the platform last week, as ‘intense, intriguing, and fast-paced,’ with many already calling for a second season.
“Halfway through and all I can say is Netflix better be getting season 2 made!” one viewer wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
Others branded the series ‘amazing’ and a ’10/10′ show.

Created by Kevin Williamson, the man behind the popular teen drama Dawson’s Creek, the series stars Mindhunter‘s Holt McCallany and Supergirl‘s Melissa Benoist.
It follows a fictional fishing family from North Carolina – called the Buckleys – who wade ‘into treacherous waters to keep their crumbling business empire afloat.’
And the series – also starring Maria Bello, Jake Weary, and Danielle Campbell – has proven so gripping that some viewers are bingeing all eight of its episodes in one night.
Writing on the Facebook page Netflix Bangers, one woman gushed about the program: “Binged the whole show in record time… absolutely brilliant!”
Another posted: “Currently watching and obsessed!”
A third said: “Graphic, horrific, but very realistic about family. Loved it.”
And a fourth declared: “Awesome series, binge-watched.”
Others took to X to praise the show’s ‘amazing and beautiful’ cast.

But while viewers are loving the series, named The Waterfront, some industry critics aren’t so sure, with The Guardian’s TV critic Lucy Mangan branding it ‘escapist summer nonsense with – God, I hope – no pretensions to being otherwise.’
However, there are already signs the show could be renewed.
According to the site What’s On Netflix, The Waterfront has stormed its way into the top ten lists of a staggering 90 countries. In nearly 40 of these, including the U.S., it has hit number one.
Deadline reports that it received 8.3 million views within its first few days on the platform.
