####### Video #######

A TikTok video has gone viral after showing several men sitting on a packed Tube while a row of women stands nearby, holding on to poles for balance.

The video quickly gained attention, racking up over 1.4 million likes, and sparked a heated conversation about gender, courtesy, and expectations in public spaces.

The clip was tagged with “#womeninmalefields” and played over Lorde’s “Man of the Year,” which some viewers took as a not-so-subtle commentary on modern manhood.

It didn’t take long for the comments to explode with opinions. One person asked: “I’m confused- are you pregnant? disabled? injured? if you aren’t, and they got there first, are total strangers, they don’t owe you a seat??”

Another wrote: “Genuine question, what is wrong with men sitting down? Surely the seats are just first come first serve as men and women are both equally capable?”

Some replies pushed back, bringing up the idea of chivalry and social norms. A user said: “Chivalry is dead,” while another added: “The so called ‘Alpha Males’ and ‘Providers’.”

Another video on TikTok echoed the same frustration, showing a similar scene and saying: “Men used to go to war for us and now we can’t even get a man to let us sit down on the train.”

The caption on that one read: “London generation!!! I couldn’t turn around without bursting off laughter at what I was seeing!!!”

As expected, more commenters jumped in. One wrote: “Yall feminists ruined it, you hate all men so now we don’t care.” Another simply said: “I think this is so disgusting.”

The post might be short, but the reactions show the debate is still very much alive.
