Five years ago, Yana Muratova, a young woman from Stavropol, courageously opened up about her lifelong battle with a rare genetic condition—hemangioma on her nose—on the TV show Live.
Despite enduring 16 surgeries, the tumor remained stubbornly in place. In fact, the final two procedures worsened her condition, causing more pain and draining her hope. Appearing on the show felt like her last shot at finding help.
Her story moved many, including a group of compassionate doctors at a top clinic in Moscow. They offered to treat Yana free of charge, giving her a chance at recovery.
Since then, she’s traveled back and forth between Stavropol and Moscow, undergoing multiple surgeries. Her persistence began to pay off—today, the tumor is greatly reduced, leaving only slight swelling and scarring. Her health has improved, and with it, her confidence and strength.
While her medical journey isn’t complete—she may need three or four more operations—Yana remains optimistic. After the show aired, she received an outpouring of support. Strangers reached out with kind words, shared similar experiences, and some even offered to meet her in person, inspired by her bravery.
Now, Yana is balancing her job with ongoing treatment. Her next surgery is set for early autumn, and she’s determined to see the process through. Once her health is fully restored, she hopes to turn the page and focus on her dreams—building a career, finding love, and one day starting a family of her own.
