Blake Shelton says Gwen Stefani isn’t just amazing on stage, she’s seriously talented in the kitchen too. On a podcast interview, he said Gwen’s homemade lasagna is so good he could eat it every single day.
Blake Shelton couldn’t say enough about his wife’s abilities in the kitchen. He said: “She really takes her time with it,” It’s not just a quick dinner, it’s an all-day project when she makes that dish.
Blake said Gwen knows what she’s doing, especially with Italian food. She doesn’t just heat stuff up, she makes things from scratch, even the dough for pizza.
He said: “She makes homemade pizza, makes the dough, the dough rises, separates it, all in the pizza oven. She really does this stuff for real.”
They live part-time in Oklahoma and Gwen brings her Italian roots right into the kitchen. Blake said the ranch life hasn’t slowed her down in that area.
He said Gwen is the one who mostly cooks, and she nails anything Italian. His favorite is still the lasagna, and he made it clear that it’s not just good, it’s something he could eat forever.
Besides the serious meals, the couple also has fun with cooking. Blake shared they like to get creative around the holidays with things like stuffing waffles and weird turkey coatings like Flamin’ Hot Cheetos or Funyuns.
Their food experiments have become part of their family life now. It’s something that brings them together, beyond just music or fame.
Gwen lives with Blake and her three sons from her previous marriage, and she shares little moments from their life on social media now and then. One time she posted a video of herself fishing at the lake on the ranch.
Last year on Jennifer Hudson’s show, Gwen said Blake always makes her laugh, every single day. She said: “The thing about Blake is that you will never get through a day without laughing.
“It doesn’t even matter what’s going on, the guy has so much patience and so much kindness in his heart. He just makes you happier every single day.”
Gwen called her time on The Voice a miracle, saying it led to everything, including Blake. “The first miracle was getting pregnant. The second was The Voice. And then the third was, obviously, meeting Blake.”
