Michael Madsen, the legendary actor known for his gritty screen presence and unforgettable roles in Quentin Tarantino films, has passed away at the age of 67. His publicist, Liz Rodriguez, confirmed the heartbreaking news, revealing that Madsen suffered a cardiac arrest and was found unresponsive at his Malibu home on Thursday morning.

According to Sgt. Jauregui of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, deputies and fire officials responded to a 911 call and pronounced Madsen dead at 8:25 a.m. local time. Authorities stated there was no foul play, and that his passing appeared to be due to natural causes.

In a joint statement, Madsen’s managers Susan Ferris and Ron Smith, along with Rodriguez, said:

“In the last two years, Michael Madsen has been doing some incredible work with independent film, including upcoming features Resurrection RoadConcessions, and Cookbook for Southern Housewives. He was truly looking forward to this next chapter in his life.”

They also noted that the actor had been preparing to release a new poetry book titled “Tears For My Father: Outlaw Thoughts and Poems.”
