Kathy Griffin was spotted out walking near her home in Malibu on Tuesday, looking casual and relaxed. She had her wild, natural hair flowing freely and was wearing a T-shirt from her 2018 Laugh Your Head Off World Tour.
She was joined by a male companion during the walk. The comedian finished off her outfit with black jogging pants and sneakers. Griffin is known for usually wearing wigs or keeping a styled bang, but this time she had her forehead out in the sun.
The look was a noticeable shift from what fans saw in her June 19 YouTube video. In that clip, she sat on a couch fully made up and talked about turning down a major job offer. She said: “I am just going to be honest, I had to turn it down because at the time between doing [the reality show] ‘My Life on the D-List’ and touring, I was making about 10 [million dollars] a year.”
She explained that she would have had to move across the country, which just wasn’t going to work with everything else going on. Griffin said: “I had to turn down ‘The View’ because I would have had to uproot my whole life.”
She also talked about how close she had gotten with Barbara Walters through regular appearances. When it came time to say no, she told her directly: “I want you to know why I’m going to say no. It’s not that I think I’m too good for this show, it’s the opposite: this show is too good for me.
“I don’t want you to think I’m blowing smoke, but between moving costs and I’m so entwined with my mom and dad. I have a house in Los Angeles, and it just isn’t feasible for me to do, but I want you to hear it directly from me.”
She’s made big changes to her appearance before, including shaving her head back in 2017 to support her sister during chemotherapy. Since then, she’s worn wigs she calls her “magic hair” but sometimes steps out without them.
