She had spent $87.84 on the meal, but instead of leaving a tip, she chose to write “Zero, you suck,” alongside the offensive comment directed at the waiter.

The name on the receipt, Stephanie Lovins, was clearly visible. After some digging, people discovered she had worked as a real estate agent for nearly three decades at Century 21, a major global name in residential property sales.
After the post went viral and sparked backlash, Lovins attempted to explain herself on a local Facebook group, saying that her “credit card was lost/stolen and someone attempted to use it.”

Lovins blamed the message on “scammers and profile hackers” and thanked those who had shown her “patience” while she tried to handle the issue.
Despite her explanation, the restaurant’s marketing manager, Fabio Oribio, reviewed the CCTV footage. He confirmed to The Columbus Dispatch that it was, without a doubt, Lovins who wrote the comment on the receipt.
“We are aware of the situation with the agent in question. Hate has no place within the Century 21 brand, and we are taking this very seriously.” the statement read.
“After investigating the situation and connecting with the respective broker, as all companies affiliated with the Century 21 brand are independently owned and operated, we can confirm that this agent is no longer affiliated with the brand.”

“Recently, one of our team members faced an unacceptable situation, and we stand firmly against any form of hate or discrimination.”
“It was a normal Sunday; things got a little busy, so the wait could have been a little longer than usual, but we aren’t really sure what made her write that.”
In light of the situation, a GoFundMe campaign was launched to “give him the tip he deserves.” and offer him some financial support.
So far, the fundraiser has pulled in more than $8,800.

This situation comes at a time when tensions across the U.S. are already high, especially around the topic of immigration. President Trump has recently hinted that “mass deportations” could be coming soon.
Since Trump entered office, cases like Lovins’ have become more frequent. Many believe that his rhetoric has encouraged people to act on hateful beliefs more openly.
Meanwhile, another man from Florida reportedly lost his job after he made threats and used hateful language against a left-wing TikToker named Mercedes. He was quoted as saying “This is Florida … they don’t fire us for this. Hahah”
These types of stories are now being summed up on social media with the phrase FAFO — short for “Fk Around, Find Out.”
