The images drew public backlash, prompting Cracker Barrel to issue an apology. The restaurant explained the cords were part of an antique soldering iron display but admitted they should have recognized the resemblance.
The item, which had been on display for 22 years, was removed immediately. Activists met with the restaurant’s manager, Mark Smith, for a “positive” conversation.
