The country legend announced the event on July 11, partnering with longtime friend and Vaqueros del Mar co-founder Tom Cusick to create a night of healing and hope through music. Set to take place on July 27 at the Estancia at Thunder Valley indoor arena in Boerne, Texas, the evening aims to deliver immediate and direct support to victims of the flood.

“The destruction and loss in our community is hard to wrap your head around,” Strait shared in a press release.
“Our goal is to raise meaningful support that reaches the hands of those affected—without delay—and to honor the first responders who worked tirelessly to save lives.”

Cusick echoed the urgency, saying, “The need is too great to wait. This is our chance to show that when disaster hits, Texas and our country stand strong—and we stand together.”

Country Stars Answer the Call to Help

George Strait isn’t alone in his efforts. Other country music icons have stepped forward to support relief efforts in the wake of the deadly Texas floods, which have claimed at least 132 lives, including 27 young campers and counselors from Camp Mystic.

  • Josh Weathers hosted a virtual benefit concert that raised over $430,000 in just a few days.

  • Chris and Morgane Stapleton donated $1 million through their Outlaw State of Kind charitable fund, supporting organizations like:

    • Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country

    • Texas Search and Rescue

    • World Central Kitchen

    • Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation

Lambert also shared that MuttNation is actively working with Kerrville Pets Alive! to assist animals impacted by the disaster, regularly updating fans on progress and needs.

How You Can Still Help

Although the “Strait To The Heart” concert is sold out, the need in Texas is far from over. Fans who didn’t get tickets can still donate directly through links shared on George Strait’s official social channels and the Outlaw State of Kind foundation website.

This moment is more than a concert. It’s a call to action, a testament to the strength of community, and a reminder that country music’s heart has always been its people.
