“OMG poor baby” “Can babies get diabetes?” “This should be child abuse.” and even mentions of “Ozempic.” are just a few of the harsh and unkind things people have been writing in the comments under her video. The clip, which shows off her chubby little guy, has stirred up quite a storm online.

“22.5 pounds of pure muscle.” she joked lightheartedly, as she held her big baby up with both hands for the camera.
But what really shocks the young mom isn’t just how big her baby is—it’s the way some strangers are choosing to talk about him online. She’s been more hurt by their mean-spirited comments than anything else.

“It made me upset to realize that there are people like that in this world who feel so comfortable saying these things about a baby.”
“I don’t know how it’s cruel or abusive that I feed him whenever he’s hungry,” she shared, explaining that Gunner has always been on the larger side—even when she was still pregnant with him.

Like most expectant moms, Mugele was curious and even a little anxious to find out just how big her baby was growing before birth.
“They told me that he was measuring quite large for how far along I was.” she recalled with a laugh. “I think I was like 34 weeks when he was measuring at 6 pounds and 3-ounces.”

But since then, this growing guy—who Mugele says “eats more than the average baby” has packed on the pounds pretty quickly.

“The doctors said that he’s healthy, but sometimes people just have big babies.” she confidently said. “He’s big for his height as well, so I think that contributes to him being bigger.”
Luckily, it’s not all negative. Plenty of kind-hearted folks—including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have shown love and support for little Gunner and his big appetite.

“OMG, that’s a big, healthy baby.” added another happy viewer.
“He’s the cutest.” said another fan.
“Like the doctor said.” she said again during her chat with Kennedy News, “he’s perfectly healthy and has no problem with his weight.”
