🧀 Air Fryer Grilled Cheese Sandwich (Crispy & Cheesy Upgrade)

Ingredients (for 4 sandwiches):

    • 8 slices of white or sandwich bread

    • 8 slices of cheese (like cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite melty cheese)

    • 4 tbsp softened butter or mayo (optional: use garlic butter for extra flavor)

  • ½ to 1 cup shredded cheese (for topping)

  • Optional: mustard, ham, or tomato slices inside

Instructions:

  1. Assemble the Sandwiches:

    • Place 1–2 slices of cheese between two slices of bread.

    • Optionally, spread a thin layer of mustard or add ham/tomato inside.

  2. Butter the Outside:

    • Lightly butter the outside of each bread slice (or spread mayo for a tangy crisp).

    • Sprinkle shredded cheese on top of each sandwich for that baked cheesy crust (like in the photo).

  3. Air Fry:

    • Preheat your air fryer to 180°C (350°F) for about 3 minutes.

    • Place the sandwiches in the basket (you may need to cook in batches).

    • Cook for 4–5 minutes, then flip and cook another 2–3 minutes, or until golden and crispy.

  4. Serve Hot:

    • Let cool for 1–2 minutes before serving — the cheese inside will be molten.

    • Optional: Serve with tomato soup or a side salad.

💡 Tips:

  • Use parchment paper or a silicone liner to catch melted cheese.

  • Don’t overload with too many wet ingredients (like fresh tomatoes) or the bread may get soggy.
