Seventeen-year-old Sarah Grace Patrick is being charged as an adult. She faces two counts of murder and two counts of aggravated assault in connection with the deaths of her mother, 41-year-old Kristin Brock, and her stepfather, 45-year-old James Brock. The two were found shot to death inside their home back in February.
Following the tragedy, Patrick shared posts that made her appear as a devastated daughter grieving the shocking loss. But investigators believe there may be more to the story than she let on.
She even stood in front of friends and family at the funeral and delivered an emotional eulogy, where she shared that she had “never once thought to imagine y’all not being here.”
Roughly a month after the deaths, Patrick posted a TikTok video. She jumped on a trending sad theme and used it to share her feelings about the loss of her parents.

She also added a caption that said: “I miss you guys, save a seat for me in heaven.”
Authorities allege that Patrick, who was only 16 at the time, shot her mom and stepdad as they were sleeping in their home located in Carrollton, a city just west of Atlanta. The tragic event took place on February 20.
Because there was no sign of a break-in or robbery, investigators began looking at family members for potential suspects.
In one of her emotional posts, Patrick allegedly opened up about the guilt she felt. She reportedly expressed regret for not protecting her little sister from the horror of discovering their parents like that.
Another message reportedly said: “It hits me when I see my 5-year-old sister screaming for her mommy and daddy.”
In addition to her grief-filled messages, Patrick also shared posts that praised her mom. In one, she supposedly wrote: “I don’t know if she ever realized… that the person I most wanted to be was her.”

During her eulogy at Catalyst Church in Carrollton, Georgia, she broke down in tears. At one point she said: “I just wanted to say goodbye to my mom and James since we never got the chance to.”
Carroll County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Ashley Hulsey told NewsNation that Patrick’s speech felt unusual. She said: “It seemed odd. It was more like a speech, and at the end she said, ‘I’m sorry.'”
Eventually, Patrick turned herself in to police once a warrant for her arrest was issued. Investigators say they’ve gathered a large amount of both physical and digital evidence that led to her being formally charged.
The sheriff’s department issued a statement saying: “This case remains an active and ongoing investigation, and additional arrests are possible as new evidence comes to light. Anyone with information is still encouraged to come forward.”
