British Man Reportedly Dies of Heart Attack While Vacationing With Moroccan Wife
Allen McKenna, a 47-year-old businessman from the UK, reportedly suffered a fatal heart attack while spending time in Casablanca, Morocco, in February.
He had traveled there with his Moroccan wife, Majda Mjaoual.
They say they have been kept completely in the dark about where he was laid to rest or even how exactly he died.
According to them, Mjaoual has refused to share any details about his burial, leaving them struggling for closure.
Wife Allegedly Informed Family Via Shocking Video Call
McKenna’s father, Alan Moorhead, who lives in Adelaide, South Australia, told Daily Mail that he learned about his son’s death through a video call on February 22.
During the call, he could clearly see his son’s body in the background.
However, Moorhead says she has refused to hand over crucial documents like a death certificate or coroner’s report or even tell them where the burial took place, despite it being over two months since he passed.
McKenna’s Wife Claims He Was Buried in Casablanca Cemetery
Mjaoual told McKenna’s family that he had been buried just two days after his death in a cemetery located in Casablanca.
She has since traveled to the United Kingdom, reportedly to settle his personal affairs.
At the time of his death, he was a successful businessman, serving as the director of three companies, which included two brewing firms and a security business based in the UK.
Father Desperately Seeking Son’s Burial Site for “closure”
Now, McKenna’s family is doing everything they can to find out where he was buried. His devastated father shared with Australia’s 9 News: “It’s soul-destroying. I don’t know where to move, I don’t know what to do.”
Frustrated that Mjaoual has cut off communication, he continued, “It’s just unbelievable. [Ms. Mjaoual’s] not answering any messages, phone calls, texts…nothing. I just want my lad back.”
Moorhead has also voiced his pain openly on Facebook, referring to himself as a “grieving father.”.
McKenna’s Wife Accuses Father of “harassing”
Meanwhile, Mjaoual has pushed back against the accusations, telling the Daily Mail that Moorhead has been “harassing” her.
She explained, “His father is harassing me, and you don’t know what’s going on. If his father wants to know anything, he can use lawyers.”
Mjaoual also provided a Moroccan dth certificate, listing McKenna’s passing the day after their arrival in Casablanca. The certificate gave a residential address as the location of death and was signed by forensic medicine specialist Dr. Abdelilah Lekbiri.
Wife Claims Moorhead Knows “everything”
In response to the family’s accusations, Mjaoual insisted that Moorhead already knows “everything”.
Insider Reveals Tension Between McKenna and His Father
Interestingly, an insider close to McKenna and Mjaoual shared that there was “a lot of animosity” between the late businessman’s father and his wife.
Allegedly, McKenna’s father was not supportive of the relationship, leading to a major falling out within the family.
They also said that McKenna’s parents had traveled to Morocco to meet Mjaoual’s family, but during their visit, “his dad still called her and her family Muslim b*****ds, she has all the messages.”
“Alan has been vile to [Majda], Allen didn’t have a good relationship at all with his dad. They often had arguments,” the insider revealed, pointing to long-standing tensions.
McKenna Converted to Islam Before Marrying Mjaoual
Official records show that McKenna converted to Islam and married Mjaoual in a ceremony conducted by an imam from the Regents Park Mosque.
He also made sure to include her in his will, setting her up as the heir to his fortune.
This was shortly after his divorce from his first wife, with whom he shared two children.
Insider Confirms McKenna’s Health Was Failing
The same insider supported Mjaoual’s account, confirming, “Allen had been in and out of hospital the last few weeks before he passed. He was warned he wasn’t in good health and was treated at Lewisham hospital for five days.”
McKenna Had Listed Mjaoual in His Will
According to the insider, Moorhead’s anger could be tied to McKenna’s will.
The insider said, “All the money has gone to her and that’s what this is about.”
Companies House records show McKenna had a current balance of £87,323, along with debts owed to him amounting to £1.178 million.
Neighbors reported that two removal vans with foreign plates showed up about a week after McKenna’s death.
The group was seen moving out furniture and other belongings.
One neighbor commented, “I presumed she was moving out of the UK.”
