The actress spoke candidly about her experience in an interview with People magazine and in her memoir, Rebel Rising.
Wilson was open about the fact that she didn’t have sex for the first time until her 30s, revealing her story in hopes of helping others feel more comfortable with their own choices.
She said, “Not everybody has to lose their virginity as a teenager. People can wait till they’re ready or wait till they’re a bit more mature.”
Rebel Wilson emphasized that there is no right age to lose your virginity and that waiting for the right moment can be a positive thing.
The 44-year-old actress admitted that for a long time, she avoided talking about sex because she felt uncomfortable revealing that she was still a virgin.
She recalled, “There was one vague time, I think I told my best friend, ‘Oh, yeah, I just did it to just get it over with when I was like 23,’ just to really avoid the questions.

“Normally I would just leave the room when the conversation was happening.”
She said, “And then the people that said ‘oh, at 24, it’s so late,’ and then I’m sitting here thinking, ‘Oh my God, my number’s 35. What the hell? I’m going to look like the biggest loser.'”
In her memoir, Rebel Rising, Wilson revealed that actor and comedian Mickey Gooch Jr. was her first sexual partner.
Wilson wrote, “And, Micks, I know this might be news to you if you are reading this, but yes I lost my virginity to you.”
Wilson explained that after a month of dating Gooch, she felt ready to take that step.

After taking that step, Wilson celebrated in her own way.
She admitted that she ‘high-fived’ herself afterward and even watched adult movies the night before to prepare for the experience.
