Tatiana Santiago never considered herself slim, but for a long time, her weight remained within a normal range.

However, in 2020, her life changed drastically. Losing her child was a devastating blow, and she began to eat to cope with the pain. By the end of the year, Tatiana weighed over 200 kilograms and found herself trapped in a vicious cycle—stress, overeating, apathy.

She didn’t notice how deeply she had sunk into this lifestyle until one day she looked in the mirror and realized she no longer recognized herself. That was the moment Tatiana decided she needed to make a change.

The first step was physical activity. She started with long walks and then signed up for swimming. Gradually, Tatiana learned to enjoy movement, and her body began responding positively to her new habits.

The second change was eliminating her favorite but unhealthy foods. She cut out ready-made meals high in carbohydrates from her diet.

The results came quickly. By January 2023, Tatiana had lost almost 100 kilograms, but soon she faced a new problem—doctors diagnosed her with fatty liver disease.

This was a wake-up call for her. Despite her success, her body needed drastic measures. Tatiana agreed to undergo gastric bypass surgery.

After the surgery, her journey to health continued. Now, Tatiana exercises six times a week.

When she returned home after all these changes, her family barely recognized her.
