It is uncommon for a Muslim woman to be popular in American media. When it does happen, they are often well known because they have broken the mold.

One Muslim woman who has done well in the United States is Aishah Hasnie. She has used her elegance, intelligence, and grit to make it in the spotlight at Fox News.

As a Pakistani-American journalist, she has done well in broadcast journalism. She is also a woman who knows her success is not only dependent on the work she does for Fox News, she is faithful as a Muslim as well.

She was born in Lahore, Pakistan on October 4, 1985. When she was six years old, she immigrated to the United States and was raised with her younger sister, Afiah Hasnie in Indiana. She eventually would go to Indiana University and earned a journalism degree in 2002.

As a younger woman, she had a life that was shaped by discipline and faith. She also was not afraid to dream big, and that would one day drive her to be part of a very competitive industry.

She worked as an intern at WICS-TV before landing a full-time job at WANE-TV. She was then an investigative reporter and anchor, and it wasn’t long before she got noticed. After earning an Emmy nomination, she continued to work on her reputation in journalism.

She became part of FOX 59 in Indianapolis in 2011. She took the lead in a consumer watchdog segment.

When she became an overnight anchor and correspondent for Fox News in New York in 2019, it was her big break. She even went higher in 2021, when she became a congressional correspondent.

These days, she is based in Washington DC, and serves as a Senior National Correspondent.

Hasnie is not only known for her reporting, she is one of the few women in the Muslim faith who has such a high-profile role. She said: “I am a deeply faithful person. I’m Muslim, and I pray five times a day.

“I get to wear skirts and dresses. I get to show my legs and hair and still be taken seriously.”

Even though she is in front of the camera, she still takes her privacy seriously with her personal life. She isn’t married and she doesn’t seem to be focused on anything but her career at the moment.

She also has avoided being on X, which has gained her praise as well. When she appeared on Gutfeld! In 2021, the host even said: “I love the fact that Hasnie has no X. She’s smarter than all of us.”

It is reported that she makes about $60,000 per year, which is modest compared to other top anchors. She has a net worth of approximately $2 million, thanks to working for more than a decade.
