Bell, who was recently featured in the live-action version of Lilo & Stitch, had his death confirmed by a member of his family.
The actor, who had previously made appearances on popular TV shows like Magnum P.I. and Hawaii Five-0, was announced to have died on Sunday, June 15. His older sister shared a touching and emotional tribute post where she reflected on the special bond they shared throughout their lives.
In her heartfelt post, Bell’s sister described him as someone who was “sweet, generous, talented, funny, brilliant and handsome.” She also shared a touching memory about how just two weeks ago, he had thoughtfully arranged for the entire family to attend the movie’s premiere together in Kapolei.
She said: “He planned ahead and purchased the best seats in the house for us all to go together to opening night in Kapolei just two short weeks ago.”

“I said we should get shave ice after the movie and reenact the scene but then realized the store was already closed. To celebrate him and try to ease our grief we went to get shaved ice and my grandson’s emotion was on point.”
Along with her message, many others have taken to social media to post their condolences and share tributes. Supporters from near and far are sending love to the family, remembering Bell fondly and appreciating the joy he brought through his work.

“Hug your loved ones today. Our last time together after returning home from the movie was just sitting on my living room couch talking story about life, having a seltzer and doing a little genealogy.”, she added.
“Blessed by this and all the big and small moments, I will keep our memories alive.”
