As a married couple, we have to make decisions and it is best to collaborate with our significant other to ensure that those decisions work best for both of us. Sometimes, those decisions may not be favored by everyone but then again, it’s not always everyone’s business.
When you put something out on the Internet and begin talking about it openly, you will sometimes get opinions on the subject. One couple is finding this out all too well as they have made the decision public that they are not going to have children.
It isn’t just the fact that the couple said that they don’t want to have children in their lives, they took it to the next level. At only 34 years old, Heraldo and his wife decided that he would have a vasectomy.
There are many couples who decide not to have children but they leave the opportunity open at some point in the future. They are just as careful as possible, but this couple made the choice that they would never have children so he made it permanent.
The problem is, that when they made the decision and made it public, some of their friends and family members were not very happy about the decision. That is something that they had decided to get beyond and rather than listening to the advice of others, they decided to take the measures necessary to make it happen.
Since Heraldo had a vasectomy at the age of 34, it meant that they were giving up the opportunity to have children from that point forward. These days, they are celebrating their life together, taking plenty of trips and naps in the middle of the afternoon and they don’t have any regrets.
The couple, who live in Sydney, Australia, have been in a relationship and are very much in love with each other. Over the past five years, they have traveled the world together and they work out with each other. They just go to places where they have never been and they share a passion for life.
They enjoy being spontaneous and some may look at it as a selfish decision, but they think that it is a decision that needed to be made.
In the end, they said: “We’re a couple that just wants to grow old together and not be bothered by anyone. Is that a lot to ask?”
