President Trump, 78, scores 30/30 on cognitive test; White House physician confirms he’s fully fit to serve after annual physical.
President Donald Trump, at 78 years old, has been declared in “excellent health” and “fully fit to execute the duties of the Commander-in-Chief and Head of State,” according to his physician, Dr. Sean Barbabella. The assessment followed Trump’s annual physical examination at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

The physical examination, conducted with input from fourteen specialists, included extensive laboratory and diagnostic testing. Trump’s vital signs were within healthy ranges, with a resting heart rate of 62 beats per minute and blood pressure at 128/74 mmHg. His height and weight were recorded at six feet three inches and 224 pounds, respectively.
As part of the evaluation, Trump underwent the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), a 10-minute test designed to detect mild cognitive impairment.
He achieved a perfect score of 30 out of 30, indicating no signs of cognitive decline. This mirrors his previous perfect score on the same test during his first term in 2018.

The report noted a scar on Trump’s right ear from a gunshot wound sustained during an assassination attempt in July 2024. There were no additional health issues reported. Trump’s current medications include aspirin, mometasone cream for a skin condition, and cholesterol-lowering drugs rosuvastatin and ezetimibe. All vaccinations are up to date, including those required for travel.
Dr. Barbabella, who has served in both Afghanistan and Iraq and possesses extensive experience in battle trauma care, conducted the five-hour examination. The evaluation was the first comprehensive health update since Trump’s return to office in January.

Following the examination, President Trump expressed confidence in his health, stating, “Overall, I felt I was in very good shape. A good heart, a good soul, a very good soul.” He also highlighted his cognitive test performance, noting, “I got every answer right.”
The detailed health report was released during Trump’s weekend at Mar-a-Lago, where he spent time at his golf club.
