Simone Biles is facing a wave of plastic surgery speculation after sharing bikini photos from her vacation. Fans immediately noticed what looked like a fuller chest and started wondering if she had a breast augmentation.
She’s currently in Belize with her husband Jonathan Owens, and the photos show her in a lime green bikini that started people talking. A few plastic surgery fan accounts even reshared the images and pointed it out directly.
One post said: “Simone Biles with the breast aug!! She looks incredible.” That comment was reposted widely and helped spark more chatter online. Simone hasn’t commented on any of it. The new look comes not long after she opened up about previous cosmetic work, like getting baby Botox.
She talked about it in a get-ready-with-me video before the Paris Olympics and said: “For my 27th birthday, I got Botox, like baby botox, in my T-zone, and I did not like it.” She added: “I haven’t got it again because I would be standing there in practice and my eyebrow would randomly go like this.”
She said her teammates noticed the weird eyebrow movement too, and it made her not want to do Botox anymore. Since then, she said her face has gone back to normal and she doesn’t plan on getting more.
Even though she’s talked about Botox, she’s stayed completely quiet about whether she had a breast augmentation. That hasn’t stopped the comments though, especially with her posing confidently in swimsuits that make the change stand out.
In an older interview, she said: “My relationship with beauty has changed a lot over time, sometimes with the trends and sometimes not.” She also said: “Now, I would still say my personal preference is always having a clean face and just being confident in who I am.”
She likes to keep things low-key with her look. She said: “I’ll have semi-permanent lashes the majority of the time, even if I don’t have make-up on, but I think that it’s really special to fall in love with what your natural face looks like.”
This isn’t the first time her appearance has been a topic. She’s been open before about how she used to get judged harshly.
She said: “They focused on my hair. They focused on how big my legs were.” She added: “But God made me this way, and I feel like if I didn’t have these legs or these calves, I wouldn’t be able to tumble as high as I can and have all of these moves named after me.”
Whether or not she had surgery, it’s clear she’s confident in how she looks now. But the debate over the photos is still going strong online, especially since she’s also unsure about her future in gymnastics.
She recently said: “2028 seems so far away, and my body is aging. I felt it in Paris.” She continued: “I went back to the [Olympic] village, I took the elevator, and my body literally collapsed. I was sick for 10 days.”
She even mentioned how sore she felt just from running around a little after the competition. It all makes people wonder if she’s closing one chapter and starting another.
