Using Salt – The Natural Way
🧂 What You’ll Need:
- 1 cup of table salt (or rock salt)
- 1 liter (about 4 cups) of warm water
- A spray bottle or watering can
- (Optional) A few drops of essential oil like tea tree or peppermint for extra effect
How to Prepare & Use:
- Dissolve the salt in warm water. Stir well until completely mixed.
- Pour the solution into a spray bottle or watering can.
- Spray generously over plants, soil, and areas where you notice bedbugs hiding. Focus especially on leaf joints and the base of plants.
- Repeat every 2–3 days for severe infestations, or once a week for prevention.
🌿 Why It Works:
- Salt is a natural dehydrator. It dries out the bodies of bedbugs and their eggs.
- It’s safe for most plants and pets when used moderately.
- Adding essential oils helps repel other insects too.
💡 Tip: Avoid overuse, as too much salt can affect the soil long-term. Use only where needed.
