Only four years ago, Cole Prochaska weighed over 585 pounds—the highest number his scale could measure. Now 41, the South Carolina man has shed more than 360 pounds through sheer determination, walking daily and overhauling his 5,000-calorie diet. “I once weighed as much as three men,” Cole shared. “Now, I’m one person.”
Cole says he struggled with weight since childhood and lived a sedentary lifestyle, often consuming bags of chips and 12 cans of soda in a day. Feeling isolated, unmotivated, and short of breath, a failing relationship finally pushed him to act. “I didn’t save the relationship, but I saved myself.”
His transformation began with short walks that turned into a daily 10,000-step routine, rain or shine. He swapped junk food for high-protein meals, cut sugar, and eventually hit the gym. “It was just me making up my mind. It’s a life change.”
Despite his success, Cole still battles with loose skin, which makes him feel “trapped.” Through a GoFundMe campaign, he’s raising funds for skin removal surgery.
Cole’s story has inspired thousands online. “Keep going, keep walking… You can do it,” he says. “Most didn’t believe in me, but I believed in myself—and I’m not done yet.”
