One of the most celebrated events of the year is the Super Bowl. It isn’t just the two teams that are fighting it out that is of interest, however, it is the halftime show as well.
We have seen some awesome halftime shows in the Super Bowl over the years, but there is one performance that seems to be the best in the past 10 years or so. When Lady Gaga took center stage at the 2017 Super Bowl, she was going to put on a show that would establish her as one of the greats.
It’s interesting that 2017 was not just a year when they had Lady Gaga on the stage, it was the first time since 1996 that they had a female solo halftime show. She didn’t disappoint, however, and from her singing to the show, it was all top-notch.
The production was absolutely out of this world, with dozens of people backing her up dancing and many fast costume changes that took people by surprise. They also had fireworks, but it was her entrance that people seemed to love.
She was on the roof of the arena and sang, ‘God Bless America’ and then jumped from the tower onto the stage. Although she was wearing a harness, it was still an interesting feat to watch.
She sang her song, Poker Face, and then ended up on the stage with so many things going on at one time, that it was difficult to know where to look at first. The fact that this was done live is something commendable.
More than 117 million people watched her Super Bowl halftime show on television. It was the fourth most-watched halftime show of all time. That isn’t to mention the millions of people who have watched it online since it was posted.
