Glass jars from coffee, pickles, marinades, and other products often have a unique and stylish look. It’s a shame to throw them away, but keeping them in their original form can be impractical. Here’s a simple and creative way to repurpose these jars into chic storage containers.

Materials needed:

  • Glass jars
  • Tape or self-adhesive film
  • Aerosol paint
  • Decorative figures (optional)

Start by cutting a rectangle from the self-adhesive film or tape, and apply it to one side of each jar. If you’d like, you can add decorative figures to the lids. Paint the lids one color and the jars another. A gold and black combination looks especially elegant. Aerosol paint is easy to use for this project. Once the paint is dry, remove the tape or film.

Now you can fill the jars with your favorite loose items: grains, pasta, tea, coffee, nuts, dried fruits, cookies, candies, spices, and more.

Additional decorating ideas:

  • Cut patterns from paper or fabric and glue them to the jars.
  • Use paint or markers to draw on the jars.
  • Stencils can be used for a more precise design.

Your newly decorated jars are ready! They’ll not only serve as practical storage but also add a stylish touch to your kitchen.
