The music world is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Karen Silva, a former The Voice Kids semi-finalist, who passed away at just 17 years old after suffering a hemorrhagic stroke.

Silva first captured hearts across Brazil when, at only 12 years old, she advanced to the semi-finals of The Voice Kids in 2020, dazzling audiences with her powerful voice and captivating stage presence. Her tragic death was confirmed on Thursday, April 24, through an emotional announcement on her official Instagram page.

A Sudden Health Crisis

According to the statement, Karen Silva was hospitalized at São João Batista Hospital in Volta Redonda, where she bravely fought for her life after experiencing a sudden hemorrhagic stroke. Sadly, despite medical efforts, she passed away, leaving behind a legacy that touched countless lives.

The heartfelt Instagram post read:

“Karen enchanted Brazil with her powerful voice and striking presence even in childhood, when she participated in The Voice Kids in 2020. Since then, she followed a luminous path, uniting talent, charisma, and representation at every step.”

Her passing comes just days after a health update shared on April 21, where her team asked for prayers, privacy, and respect during her medical treatment. Sadly, Karen’s battle ended far too soon.
