Bill Belichick’s interview was interrupted by his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, after he was asked a question about their relationship.
Alongside him, just off-camera, was Hudson, 24, described by interviewer Tony Dokoupil as a “constant presence” during the conversation.
Sporting a matching sweatshirt and quietly stationed at the side of the set, the former cheerleader quickly made her presence felt when the topic turned personal.
As Dokoupil broached the subject of how Belichick deals with public curiosity about their relationship, the football icon gave a typically no-nonsense reply: “I’ve never been too worried about what everyone else thinks,” he said, adding that he simply tries “to do what I feel like is best for me, and what’s right.”
But things got a lot more tense when Dokoupil dared to ask about how the couple first met. Before Belichick could respond, Hudson jumped in from her off-camera seat, cutting the question off cold.
“We’re not talking about this,” she declared firmly.
When Dokoupil turned to her to check, “No?” she simply repeated, “No,” making for a visibly uncomfortable pause between the trio.
In a voiceover, Dokoupil moved swiftly along, telling viewers: “It’s a topic neither one of them is comfortable commenting on.”
Instead, the conversation shifted to lighter ground: glimpses into the couple’s private life that have already made it onto social media — like Hudson’s Instagram photos of them doing beach yoga together and showing off their mermaid and fisherman Halloween costumes.
Trying to lighten the mood, Dokoupil noted that these posts show a “different side” of the famously gruff coach, and asked what kind of reactions Belichick has seen. Once again, the moment got a little awkward.
“Yeah, so I’m on some of those social media platforms,” Belichick said after a bit of clarification, “but I honestly don’t follow.”
Belichick and Hudson — who TMZ reports first crossed paths on a flight in February 2021 — were first romantically linked after being spotted together in January 2023.
The pair made their romance public in June 2024 and later made their red carpet debut just six months after.
Despite the scrutiny surrounding their nearly 50-year age gap, Hudson has shown she’s not afraid to clap back at critics.
Last month, she posted a screenshot of an Instagram message exchange where a user named Abby confronted her, writing: “But you do realize your relationship is insane right.”
Cited by PEOPLE, Hudson replied: “But you do realize direct messaging a stranger on Instagram with the intent of harassing them regarding their own personal relationship is insane, right?” she shot back.
Not stopping there, Hudson also corrected the critic’s grammar in the screenshot and cheekily added a poll asking her followers whether “Abby’s manners” or “Abby’s punctuation skills” were worse.
